@lake-m-carver Hahaha... I like the "Expectation versus Reality" short, very funny!
Consider taking a more updated screencapture from IG? That clip has 96k likes there. This will make it 9% funnier.
You gotta start leaning back earlier and tighter up the turn to get further around before you lose all your speed. It's coming, just keep doing it. You could still be the second person to get past 360 degrees in a carve, I haven't seen anyone else do it yet.

I updated the Endless Heelside too, just slowed down the music to mimic a dying battery. This makes it 15% funnier.

Any thoughts on what should be next for IG? I'm working my way up to dropping the C4/G4 Reviews Reel, I've got boards to sell...
Maybe the Endless Heelside first? What do you guys think? Is this funny or stupid? Will it increase or decrease my "aura" ? (I won't be able to slow down the music on IG, though they good options for circus music.)

No comments on the Endless Heelside? That says a lot, I'll hold this one for now.
Jasey sent me some footage from Chile today. Check this one out:

Is this funny or stupid?
Yes
(I like it)
Will it increase or decrease my "aura"
It will make you seem less grumpy and angry, and more approachable in my opinion. What aura do you want to put out? I think a slightly less grumpy and angry aura could help.

Hi!
"No comments on the Endless Heelside? That says a lot, I'll hold this one for now."
I´m far from beeing a publicist or marketing specialist, but for the "C4/G4 Reviews Reel" my preference should be doing something more serious... maybe more aligned with the idea of "BIG Snowboard" (not exactly "funny snowboards" ¿?, they are going to be fun also but the mesage is you can carve the all the slopes the resort would give you...). Only my point of view.
Regards!
Yeah, I'm no marketing guy either. I wouldn't lead with the 'infinity carve', but I do think it's good. I think you've got a bit of a dry sense of humour (which I personally like), but it doesn't always come across online. The infinity carve is definitely more personable than the rant (which I also appreciated, but lets face it you're not Rick Mercer).

Yeah, probably. But I gotta be me, even online.

It is. I just want to publish a few more reels before I start selling stuff on IG. I try to balance three types of videos: riding videos, instructional videos, sale pitch videos. Too much of the selling stuff is bad for my image, so I build up to those.
but lets face it you're not Rick Mercer
I know. That guy rides duck(s).

Look at this:
I had more views last week after six months of not posting anything on IG than I do this week after dropping what I expected would be my best content of the fall...
Fuckers. I had this same experience when I was starting on YouTube. I dropped my "The Carved 360" video when I only had 20 subs, it went mini-viral with about 70k views in a couple of days. I panicked and figured I needed more content on my channel because so many people were checking me out all of a sudden, so I dropped another video. Immediately YouTube stopped showing my 360 vid and the views dropped off a cliff. I always wonder how far that one would have gone if I had done nothing.
This is why I haven't posted anything all spring and summer. The social media giants are manipulating the creators as much as they manipulate the audience. They stop showing content in an effort to get creators to publish new stuff continuously.
I started this season's postings earlier than I wanted to because I have boards to sell. I'm gonna run out of reels before winter hits if I publish more than two per week...
That "How to Spiral Carve" reel is gold. But they'll slow down the exposure intentionally to push me to publish more crap reels and feed their machine. Looks like my free ride on that 11 second single spiral carve is over now. It'll probably never hit 2m, though it might have if I hadn't followed it up.

And this is why all sites are full of garbage AI slop. Making everything worse for everyone

Cody Winters and Jasey riding in Chile!
That's Cody in blue on a G5 168 (same as mine) and Jasey in orange on the A5 173: "a man's all mountain board" to paraphrase Jasey...
Look how smooth that revert is, I'm so impressed. These effin' Olympians eh? Holy... And Jasey's getting better at the 360s too, I'm gonna have to up my game!

More Chile footage coming soon! I got Cody's permission to publish the footage of him on a Big Snowboard (nobody link SG okay?).
I'm just slaying...
ooooooh he's gonna have a contract with Big Snowboards next... Wonder what the SG contract says about posting footage on a different board? Some nice carves from Cody and Jasey. Love it!
The whole social media algorithm thig is a PITA. That is such BS the way they work. I'm in the firearms industry and trying to post content and get a decent viewing is a nightmare.
I'm not a huge fan of the endless heel side video. Just my opinion.
I REALLY like the turns you made on the "Top Tips for Snowboard Carving" video. You make the turns with SOO much speed and really throw some spray on the first two hillsides. Those clips really capture the speed you are carving at. Maybe put those into a reel somehow.
