I just made 2 different stands-offs, 2 short ones for the thin end, 2 longer ones for the thick end of the plade, 8 pcs total.
Yes, the plate thickness is not the same and I should have made 4 different stand-offs in the perfect world, but with 3deg. canting it is less than 2 mm difference.
From the CAD it looks like this... 

I was a little lazy and made it symetrical so I only had to make 1 for both left and right, but I thin I'll make a front and rear foot version.
I also thought about making a extra set of screw holes for the next set of hole in the board. Could be useful to stiffen up the board (or part of) ?

@carvehard That's very cool!  I admire the ingenuity.

I presume your standoffs are straight though right?  So the binding screw axis is not perpendicular to the binding base plate.  We considered this approach, it's only three degrees of difference.  Without testing it, I was worried that this three degree difference could put undue shear force on the inserts and the whole system. 

Have you ridden it?  How heavy are you?  This setup is way simpler and cheaper but you know...  liability.  I'm quite curious to know whether you were able to make it work.

I saw your videos before going on holiday and designed them in 15 min., 3D printed it, and went away the next day. 

Yes, stand-offs are straight though.

it doesn’t really matter that the screw isn’t perfectly aligned, the screw and the baseplate can easily absorb the 3 degrees and because the stand-offs are attached to the board with a separate screw and screwed tight before adding the binding, there are only forces in one direction. 
even at the binding screw. 
maybe screw head gets shear, but one M6 screw can handle many tonnes. 
I definitely don’t see it as an issue !

I’m 189 cm and 85 kg, I used it for a week, and they (and the board) are still perfectly fine. 
They work as intended (I guess) I have a lot to fine tune regarding my technique. 
I mainly made them to get my toes free, because my board is way too narrow (250 mm waist) for my EU 44 boot.

I've made some modifications so that the board inserts next to the bind can be used to fix the plate even more and maybe be used to stiffen the board.

Could it be an idea to use the outer holes for mounting the riser to the board and then mount the binding to the center ? It would of cause limit your stance possibilities.

Morning James Mooncat here. OK we were talking about your butterfly risers on YouTube and the potential purchase of them. A few questions for you my good man. 

Why have you opted for plastic rather than rubber for your risers ???

Will the risers fit my Freecarver 9000, 27cm width board OK without having to shave to size ???

What is tour ETA for the risers to myself here in the UK  ???

1.  Yes

2. To make sure the risers don't move under the bindings.   It's not weak; there's a gap between the top surface of your top sheet and the first threads of your insert, so with these posts you will get the same number of turns on your binding screws as you would without them.  

3. Rubber or urethane is heavy and wouldn't stiffen the board at all.   So you would get the added clearance and leverage, but not the increased carving performance.

What is the ETA to the UK ?

Probably two weeks.   I'm picking up another batch of these on Tuesday, they usually take a week to ten days to deliver to Europe.  Sometimes a bit more if you're in a very rural area.

When would the new 2026 risers be available on the shop? If we buy them now, would be get the new ones?

@ruebees  I have done that on my C4 actually - worked great

@wild-cherry Thanks for your reply James.  Ordered the NEW risers today so hopefully I'll have them by very early December.

Can you confirm I'll be receiving the NEW design risers.
